Hello! I can not set the normal size of the system dialog boxes. At a resolution of 1920x1080 (recommended) in Windows 11, they are very small and in small font. Very difficult to read.

I tried to increase the font in the settings (accessibility), but then the font becomes very large in other places on the screen, and the size of the dialog boxes does not increase from this. They remain very small. When the system is rebooted, the font becomes very small again. Tell me, please, what to do?

Same problem. I can't believe Microsoft hasn't addressed this issue yet. Windows XP I believe it was did change system wide fonts when enlarged. How hard can this be for them? Awful.

The answer for this needs to come from Microsoft. this is not a new problem, it was evident in Windows 10 and it's quite obvious that Microsoft has NOT updated it's own software to work with the high-resolution 2.5k/4k/8k displays that are becoming common.

Scaling is NOT a solution since it isn't applied to the applications. many of them, especially system dialog boxes, do not respond to scaling to begin with.

The Technician wrote a bug and the Microsoft Supervisor should have rectified this mistake. An oversight if ever there was! Something as bad as this using Linux I've never come across. Every time I want to download a file, or want to save a document it's a pain in the butt to see what I'm doing or what button to press in an open program I have to press the Windows and + buttons simultaneously.

Having exactly the same problem, I recently bought a widescreen monitors, and I can't even see the text with my glasses on :( Come on Microsoft, surely this is an easy fix ?

The scale solution works for exploring Hard Drives and folders, also altering text the list size. However for reading System Dialog box text a non starter. There appears no way of resizing the text. On my old Lenovo in the scrap yard that had Win 10 Pro installed I never had that problem. I sit there with a Hand Held Magnifying Glass to read the text which appears to be 8 font. It should be a minimum of 10 or 11 font size.

Recently, I downloaded an opensource program, Alternate Font Sizer. It lets you resize the System Font. To install it, you have to override Windows Defender.

Another solution I recently found and want to share is using a third-party program. I downloaded Alternate Fontsizer. This is a freeware program that adds to the registry to resize system fonts. To install this program, Windows Defender will have to be overridden.

Start > Settings > Accessibility.

Select Text size.

Drag the Text size slider to the right to increase the size of the sample text.

Once you're happy with the text size, select Apply. Windows scales up the size of all text.

In addition to the text size, you can also make everything else on your screen bigger, including images and apps.

To open Settings on your computer, press the Windows logo key+I or select Start > Settings .

Select Display.

Under Scale & layout, expand the Scale menu and select the option you want.

S Sengupta- Sorry your suggestion is a non starter- Accessibilitiy Text size Does NOT work on System Font size- as the earlier Moshe Brace suggestion was correct- it is a non starter. Why- MS should have corrected it- just like I MISS your Finnish Phones!!!

My issue is that I'd like to adjust user permissions for files and then show our staff how to do it. Ultimately, all 3,000+ project folders should have their modification access restricted.

There are numerous user categories, but because I cannot adjust the size of the properties dialog box, I can view only two at a time. This means that most users will confidently conclude that's all there are.

Windows 11 was not designed for Seniors or visually impaired users. you can increase the font size almost everywhere, except on system dialogs.

perhaps someone will have pity of us and fix it.
