Spelling and grammar review working very poorly on Word

Spelling and grammar reviews on Word aren´t showing almost any errors, even the most obvious ones. I use the updated version in Windows 11, language Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese). Reviews made in Word, which I used since they first existed, used to be very good. Now they're useless. We're in 2026 and I'm back to proofreading each single letter in my texts. Does anyone know how can I fix that, please? Thank you.

In your Word document, enter an obvious misspelling and then select that word, only. Visit the Language dialog box (Review > Language > Set Proofing Language) and see if the correct proofing language is selected. Also, is the option "Do not check spelling or grammar" selected or cleared?

Based on the results of the testing suggested in the previous paragraph, further action may be required.

For example, you may have to select all content and (re-)apply the correct language and also ensure that "Do not check spelling or grammar" is cleared for all text.
