A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
In Microsoft Word you can add a decorative border using the Page Borders feature. Open your document, go to the Design tab (or Page Layout in older versions), then click Page Borders. This opens the Borders and Shading dialog box. Select the Page Border tab, then choose a setting like Box or Shadow. Under Style you can pick different line patterns, and under Art you’ll find decorative borders such as patterns or themed designs. Adjust the width and color as needed.
Once you’ve chosen a style, click the Options button if you want to control how far the border sits from the edge of the page or text. You can also choose whether the border applies to the whole document or just a specific section using the “Apply to” dropdown. Click OK to apply the border to your document.
If you want something more customized, you can insert shapes or images around the page edges instead. Go to Insert, choose Shapes, draw a rectangle near the page edge, and format it with no fill and a styled outline. Then set it behind the text using the layout options so it behaves like a border.
