I've looked at tutorials online and am unable to create an email signature in my new Outlook account (I've done this easily other times in other accounts, and it's not giving me the normal options to add one).

Hi, if “Signatures” is missing, it usually means the feature is not enabled for your account yet or restricted by your organization. Try opening Outlook in another browser or use InPrivate mode, then check again under Settings → Account → Signatures. If it still does not appear, use Settings → Mail → Compose and reply and create your signature there, then save. If neither option exists, your admin needs to enable it for your account.

This option does not exist. Select Account > SignaturesScreen Shot 2026-03-25 at 1.50.38 PM

In new Outlook on the web/Outlook.com, signatures are created from Settings, not while composing.

    Use these steps:

    1. At the top of Outlook.com or Outlook on the web, select Settings (gear icon).
    2. Select Account > Signatures.
    3. Under Email signature, type the signature and format it as needed.
    4. Choose the default signature for new messages and for replies/forwards.
    5. Select Save.

When composing, if it is not added automatically:

    1. Create a New email.
    2. Type the message.
    3. On the Message ribbon, select Insert > Signature > Signatures to insert it manually.

If the Signatures option is missing while composing, it usually means the signature has not been created yet via SettingsAccountSignatures.
