Alert phone number i dont reconize

To remove a phone number that is not recognized and may be linked to the Microsoft account used with Outlook.com, remove it from the account’s security/profile settings and from Skype/Caller ID if applicable.

1. Remove the number from the Microsoft account aliases
   1. Go to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=842796 and sign in with the Outlook.com account.
   2. Under Account alias, locate the unknown phone number.
   3. Select Remove next to that phone number.
   4. If that number is set as the primary alias, follow the prompts to change the primary alias first, then remove the number. For details, see Change the email address or phone number for your Microsoft account from the same page.
2. Remove or change the number in the Skype profile (if used with the same account)
   1. Sign in to the Skype profile page: https://secure.skype.com/portal/profile.
   2. Go to Contact details (scroll down on desktop, or open the Contact details tab on mobile).
   3. Select Edit Profile and locate the phone number field.
   4. Delete or replace the unknown number with the correct one, then select Save.
   5. If a new number is added, select Verify phone number and complete verification.
3. Turn off Skype Caller ID if the number appears as caller identification
   1. Open the Skype app.
   2. Select the profile picture > Settings.
   3. Select Calling > Caller ID.
   4. Turn the Caller ID toggle Off so no number is displayed when calling from Skype.

If the number still appears after these steps, review the Security info section at https://account.microsoft.com/security to confirm only known phone numbers are listed for sign-in and recovery, and remove any that are not recognized.
