Bing Wallpaper Not Refreshing

The latest version of Bing Wallpaper does not refresh anymore. CoPilot and I spent several hours trying to determine the problem, and we ended up installing a previous version. That version worked but, of course, Bing Service app noted the older version and replaced it with the current version. So now I'm back to square one with Bing not refreshing.

Anybody know what's going on?

    Hi,

What Windows version are you using, and does it show any error or no change at all? Bing Wallpaper app depends on its background service to update images daily, and older versions will not stay installed since it auto-updates. Maybe it's a broken app service or a current bug in the latest version.

Try to uninstall the app, restart your PC, then install the latest version again from Microsoft and confirm it is running in the system tray with internet access.

If it still does not refresh, the honest answer is this is likely a known issue with the current release and you need to wait for Microsoft to fix it in a future update.

Thanks for the update. Open the Bing Wallpaper icon in the system tray, select Settings, and confirm “Change wallpaper daily” is on and the correct region is selected. Then open Settings, go to Apps, Startup, and keep Bing Wallpaper enabled so its service runs at sign in. These steps keep the background service active so the image updates on schedule.

Do you see the Bing Wallpaper icon in the system tray?

Open Settings, go to Apps, Installed apps, select Bing Wallpaper, then Advanced options, and click Repair then Reset. Open the app from the tray, toggle daily refresh off and on, then go to Settings, Apps, Startup and enable Bing Wallpaper. This restarts its background service so it updates daily.

Sorry, I'm using Windows 11 and there is no error message, just doesn't change. In background I have BingSvc.exe and BingWallpaper.exe. CoPilot told me that she thinks there's one more app, but our numerous installs never showed anything else. If this is, in fact, the problem, what's preventing this and what can I do about it? Thanks.
