Windows Phone Link Won't Connect to Pixel 10a Phone

I had been using Link to Windows on my Pixel 6a, to connect to Windows 11 PC/Phone Link, but upgraded to my phone to a Pixel 10a. The 10a will not connect to Phone Link. When I try, I either get a message on my phone that that says "Something went wrong. Try sometime later", or "Can't connect to Google services". Phone link on PC just sits there spinning and waiting. I have restarted PC, phone, reinstalled Link to Windows on phone, cleared app cache on phone, tried app terminate, repair and reset on Phone Link in Windows.

I'm connected to Outlook on my phone. My phone paired just fine to my Honda CR-V with Bluetooth and my Honda Odyssey.

If I just try to pair the phone in Settings - Bluetooth and Internet, it seems to pair at first, then disconnects. The phone sees the PC name in Bluetooth settings, but clicking the Connect button on the phone does nothing.

Google support ran me through a bunch of things with no luck. They believe it is an App problem.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello Brian Donovan,

#1 Refresh Google Play Services:

  1. On your Pixel 10a, go to Settings > Apps > All apps > Google Play Services.
  2. Tap Storage & cache > Manage space > Clear all data.
"Side Note: This will not delete your photos or emails"
  3. Restart your phone immediately
  4. Open the Link to Windows app & try again this time.

Very Important Note: that's will refresh you current google account credentials and will require you to Re-Enter the credentials (Email / Password / 2FA) again and re-verify you. make sure that you know the account credentials before performing the (Refresh Process). #Thanks to Bran Comment on this.

#2 Reset Everything

  1. On PC: Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices > Remove the Pixel 10a
  2. Open Device Manager > View > Show hidden devices > Expand Bluetooth
"Look for any "grayed out" Pixel devices or "Unknown Device" entries and Uninstall them"
  3. On Phone: Go to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth
  4. Try to pair only via the Phone Link QR CODE (Don't use windows Bluetooth)

#3 Advanced Options

  1. On the Pixel, go to Settings > Google > Devices & sharing > Cross-device services
  2. Temporarily turn Off "Call casting" and "Internet sharing"
  3. On the PC, go to Settings > System > Nearby sharing and ensure it is Off
  4. Try again with Phone Link

#4 Additional

  1. Turn Wi-Fi OFF on your Pixel 10a and use the Mobile Data.
  2. In the Link to Windows app settings, enable "Use mobile data"
  3. Try the pairing process. If it works over 5G, we know the issue is your router / dns

Question for you: What version of Android you are using? is it beta? is it modified ROM?

I hope that helps!

Regards,

@MUSTAFA SALAH
