Backspace button doesn't function properly

When I hit the backspace button in Word or One Note it will only go back one space.

    It depends on what you are deleting, or trying to delete. For text, the Backspace key would delete a single character, to the left of the insertion point. Ctrl+Backspace deletes the preceding word.

    Hello

    Do you mean you want to be able to hold it down so it will continue to go back until you release the key?

    If so, does this only happen in Word and OneNote, or does it also happen in other apps? What about other keys, for example, can you hold down any letter key and see if it continues typing until you release the key?
