Can't change volume while headphones are connected

Idk what tag to put for this. My bluetooth headphones usually work fine with my laptop but recently I have been unable to change the audio output volume. No matter how high or low I set my volume it doesn't change, unless I mute it. I would like to be able to adjust my volume please.

Hi,

You can try this: first, disconnect your Bluetooth headphones and restart your laptop to refresh the audio connection. Then reconnect your headphones and check if the volume slider works. If it still doesn’t change, right-click the sound icon on the taskbar, open Sound Settings, and under Output, select your Bluetooth headphones manually. Next, click Device Properties, make sure the volume isn’t locked at a fixed level, and confirm that App volume and device preferences under Advanced sound options aren’t overriding your main volume. If that doesn’t help, try removing the headphones from Bluetooth devices, pairing them again, and updating both the Bluetooth and audio drivers from Device Manager.

Does the volume respond when using the controls on the headphones themselves, or is it only stuck from the laptop side?

Kind regards,
