In Windows 11, the taskbar can only be positioned at the bottom of the screen.
Taskbar alignment settings allow changing where the icons appear on the taskbar (centered or left-aligned), but there is no setting to move the entire taskbar itself to the left or right side (or top) of the screen.
To change icon alignment (not taskbar position):
- Right-click the taskbar and select Taskbar settings (or open
ms-settings:taskbar). - Expand Taskbar behaviors.
- Use Taskbar alignment to choose Center or Left.
The taskbar will remain at the bottom in all cases.
