Since the app "Aplicativo Itaú" is requesting for update, when we try to update the app, return a text who inform: "The resource you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available. Click OK to try again or enter an alternative path to a folder that contains the installation package 'aplicativo itau' in the box below"

Even now that doesn't exist any archive from "Aplicativo Itaú", have another way to install this app? because when we try, return this error.User's image

Hi,

The problem is that the installer is correct, but try this procedure: Download: https://aka.ms/Program_Install_and_Uninstall, select the uninstall option and find Itaú, uninstall it.

After uninstalling, install the Itaú application:

https://www.itau.com.br/canais-itau/aplicativo-itau-no-computador

Download Itaú MSI and try to install it. If it fails, download the beta version to install.

While this is not a Microsoft website, it is the official site of Itaú.

Hello Guilherme da Silva Freire,

This error is coming from the Itaú banking app's own installer — the way the app is packaged, distributed, and installed is entirely built and maintained by Itaú, not by Windows. When you see an installation error like this, it typically means something in their installer setup isn't working as expected, and that's something only the vendor can investigate and fix on their end.

I'd recommend reaching out to Itaú's support directly for assistance with their desktop app installation.

The error dialog indicates that Windows Installer is trying to use the original MSI source path under the user profile (for example C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Aplicativo Itau\source\aplicativoitau.msi), but that file no longer exists. When the cached source is missing, repair/update of the app fails and Windows asks for the original MSI.

In this situation, the reliable way to proceed is:

    1. Remove the broken installation entry
      • Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps (or Apps & features).
      • Locate Aplicativo Itaú.
      • Choose Uninstall and complete the wizard. If the same “source not available” message appears, cancel and continue to the next step.
    2. Clean up the failed installer entry
      • Use the vendor’s own uninstaller if available (for example, from the app’s folder in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86)), or
      • Use a cleanup tool that can remove orphaned Windows Installer entries so that Windows no longer tries to repair/update from the missing MSI path.
    3. Reinstall from a fresh installer
      • Download the latest Aplicativo Itaú installer directly from the official source.
      • Run the installer as a standard desktop app on the Insider build and complete setup.

If the problem persists after cleanup and reinstall, check Windows event logs around the time of the failure as suggested for generic Windows installation errors, and look for any additional error codes (for example 0x80004005, 0x8000FFFF, etc.) to further troubleshoot using the Windows error references.
