    Hello,

Typically the sound should automatically come on.

If it doesnt, it requires some troubleshooting, as it can be settings, bad port, bad cable, or driver issue.

Can you hold down Win+R keys, type in mmsys.cpl and press enter. When it is launched, can you see the TV listed? If so, make sure the TV is not disabled (you can right click to enable). Also make sure the TV is set as default device.

If the above doesn't yield any result, try different cable if you have available, and/or different port on the TV if applicable.

    If it still doesn't work,

Can you share with me two screenshots please?

    1. Go to Device Manager > Display Adapters, I would like to see what's listed.
    2. Please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up.

    Thanks!

Use the HDMI device as the Windows audio output and make sure it isn’t muted or disabled.

    1. Check that Windows is sending sound to the TV
      • In Windows 10/11, select the Speakers icon on the taskbar.
      • Select the arrow to open the list of audio devices.
      • Choose the TV/HDMI device as the output.
    2. Verify the HDMI device is enabled and not muted
      • Right-click the Speakers icon on the taskbar and open Volume mixer.
      • Make sure none of the sliders are muted (no red circle or “x” on the icon) and the volume is turned up.
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      • Under Output, select the HDMI/TV device, then Device properties (or More sound settings > Playback tab in Windows 11).
      • Ensure the device is set to Use this device (enable) / not Disabled.
    3. Set the HDMI device as default (Control Panel method)
      • Open Control Panel.
      • Select Hardware and Sound > Sound.
      • On the Playback tab, select the TV/HDMI device.
      • Click Set as Default Device, then OK.
    4. If still no sound
      • Confirm the TV input is set to the correct HDMI port and its volume is turned up.
      • If using an external monitor without speakers, switch the default output back to the PC speakers or other speakers instead of the monitor.
