Other features or issues related to Microsoft Partner Center
The tenant’s MAICPP enrollment and vetting state control access to Membership and Membership offers, not the roles alone. When vetting/enrollment aren’t fully Authorized/Active, workspaces and actions (like Membership, Membership offers) can be blocked or show “You need permission,” even if Global Admin and MAICPP Partner Admin roles are assigned.
Based on the described symptoms (MAICPP enrollment showing PENDING QUALIFICATION for more than 5 business days, no Verification Summary or Fix now/Action required banner, Membership locked), the next supported steps are:
- Confirm vetting and program status in Legal Info
- Sign in to Partner Center and go to Account settings → Legal Info.
- On the Partner tab, check:
- Program info / Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program status (must be Active once vetting is complete).
- Verification status / Vetting (must be Authorized for MAICPP).
- If the status is Pending, In progress, or Rejected/Declined, MAICPP functionality (including Membership and Membership offers) can be blocked until vetting is completed and Authorized.
- If the Partner tab itself is missing, a MAICPP Partner Admin or Global Admin must verify the MAICPP enrollment and status as described in Learn about the Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA) for CSP program partners.
- Check verification result and appeal options
- Still under Account settings → Legal Info, open the Verification summary page if available.
- Review the overall Verification status:
- Authorized: vetting is complete; MAICPP should be usable.
- Pending: verification is still in progress; normal SLA is 3–5 business days.
- Rejected or Challenged: the Account Verification pane shows the reason and how to appeal.
- If the application is Rejected, select Resolve in the partner call-to-action bar, choose a document type, upload supporting documentation, and submit the appeal. The primary contact may need to perform this step. Up to three appeals are allowed.
- Understand impact of non‑Authorized vetting on permissions
According to Partner Center permissions guidance:
- Vetting must show Authorized for each enrolled program (MAICPP, CSP, Developer, etc.).
- If vetting is In progress, Pending, or Rejected, this can:
- Prevent adding or modifying user roles.
- Disable workspace access or specific actions within workspaces (such as Membership and Membership offers), even when the correct roles are assigned.
- Program enrollment must be Active and all required agreements must be accepted; otherwise, access to related workspaces remains blocked.
- When the status is stuck beyond 5 business days
- Verification normally completes in 3–5 business days. If more than five days have passed and the status is still Pending with no Action required or Fix now banner, the documented next step is to contact Partner Center support for assistance.
- Support can review the vetting state for the tenant and unblock or clarify any backend issues preventing the Verification summary or Membership access from appearing.
- Once vetting is Authorized and MAICPP is Active
After support confirms vetting as Authorized and MAICPP enrollment as Active:
- Ensure the user performing membership actions has the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program partner admin role.
- Sign in again and open Membership:
- If the Buy Now/Renew Now buttons are disabled on Membership offers, select the inline link:
- Why the buy now button is disabled? (if the AI assistant icon is available), or
- Learn why "Buy/Renew" is disabled? (if no AI assistant).
- The AI assistant or flyout will list any remaining unmet criteria that must be completed before purchasing or renewing offers.
- If the Buy Now/Renew Now buttons are disabled on Membership offers, select the inline link:
These steps align with the documented behavior: vetting and program activation must be fully Authorized/Active before Membership and Membership offers become accessible, and if verification remains Pending beyond 5 business days without any visible action prompts, escalation through Partner Center support is required.
