How did you add this new one exactly? If you can describe the steps you took, that would be helpful.

In addition, can you hold down the Windows + R keys, type in netplwiz, and press enter? Does it show both old and new accounts?

Follow these steps to get back into the original account and fix the profile:

    1. On the sign-in screen, check if the original account is still listed under a different name:
      • Select the account name icon on the sign-in screen (if available) and see if there are multiple users.
      • Try each listed user with the password that was used for the original account.
    2. If signed in to the new account, check existing users:
      • Open Settings > Accounts > Other users (or use this shortcut from context: Other Users).
      • Look for an account that has the random letters as the name.
      • If found, confirm it is configured correctly (for example, as a standard user or administrator as needed). If it is disabled or changed, adjust via Change account type.
    3. If the original profile is corrupted and Windows is signing in with a temporary or wrong profile:
      • Follow the steps in the "We can't sign in to your account" guidance:
        1. Restart the device in Safe mode, then sign in with the original profile and check if files and settings are back.
        2. Restart again in normal mode and sign in with the original profile (may need multiple restarts).
        3. If that does not help, temporarily disable antivirus or apps that scan during sign-in.
        4. If issues continue, temporarily disable Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection and Microsoft Defender Antivirus services in the Services app, then restart and try signing in again. After resolving the issue, set these services back to Automatic.
    4. If the original profile still cannot be used:
      • While signed in to the working account, create a new local administrator account using Settings > Accounts > Other users.
      • Sign in to that new admin account.
      • Use the Fix a corrupted user profile steps referenced in the same article to copy personal data from the old profile folder (the one with random letters) into the new account’s profile.

These steps either restore sign-in to the original profile or move data safely to a new working account.
