Ever since the latest build was pushed, all Windows desktop Teams client are missing the Right-Click context menu with Paste. Control-V does work however but the Paste option is always greyed out. Submitted a bug report but no answers yet after a week.

Meanwhile, you can use the Ctrl +V keyboard shortcut to paste images and text into Teams chat.

The April 17th Teams desktop build behavior matches the current product design where paste via keyboard (Ctrl+V) continues to work even if right‑click paste is unavailable or limited. There is no documented fix or configuration in the provided context that restores the right‑click Paste menu entry for this specific Teams build.

    As a workaround, use:

    • Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V on macOS) to paste
    • Ctrl+Shift+V to paste as plain text, which can also help avoid unwanted formatting, similar to the “Paste as Plain Text” workaround recommended for URL truncation scenarios in Teams

For a permanent resolution, continue to track the bug via the feedback/bug report already submitted and monitor subsequent Teams client updates, as UI regressions like this are typically addressed in later builds.
