I recently upgraded my base PC to windows 11. Now I'm having bluetooth and wifi issues with the rest of my PCs. What can be the problem and how can I fix this?

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Are your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers working properly in the Device Manager?

    --*
Open the Device Manager and expand the arrow next to Bluetooth and Network adapters.

Right-click your default Bluetooth driver, such as Intel or Realtek, select Update driver > Search automatically for available drivers, and click Update.

Likewise, right-click your default Network driver, Intel Wi-Fi or Realtek, select Update driver > Search automatically for available drivers, and click Update.

    ==========================================================

If updating the drivers does not resolve the issue,

Right-click the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi driver, select Uninstall device, select Attempt to remove the driver software for this device check box, and click Uninstall.

    Once uninstalled, restart your computer.

    ===========================================================

    If the issue persists,

type msinfo in the search bar on the taskbar and click Enter.

Post a screenshot of the resulting dialog box.

We can try installing the latest drivers from your device manufacturer's website.

Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi issues after a Windows 11 upgrade are commonly caused by incompatible or outdated drivers, disabled radios (Airplane mode), or Windows Update changes.

Try the following steps on the upgraded Windows 11 PC:

    1. Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter
    2. Check Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi drivers in Device Manager
      • Select Search on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and open it.
      • Expand Bluetooth.
      • Right‑click the Bluetooth adapter (may include the word “radio”) and select Update driver > Search automatically for updated driver software. Complete the wizard and restart if prompted.
      • Repeat similar steps for the Wi‑Fi adapter under Network adapters if present.
    3. Install the latest Bluetooth drivers manually (if automatic update finds nothing)
      • Go to the PC manufacturer’s website and download the latest Windows 11 Bluetooth driver.
      • If it is an .exe file, double‑click and install, then restart.
      • If it contains .inf and .sys files:
        1. Open Device Manager.
        2. Expand Bluetooth and right‑click the Bluetooth adapter.
        3. Select Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers.
        4. Select Browse, choose the folder with the driver files, select OK, then Next and finish the installation.
        5. Restart the PC and test Bluetooth again.
    4. Reinstall the Bluetooth adapter
      • In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth.
      • Right‑click the Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device > Uninstall.
      • Select Start > Power > Shut down.
      • Power the PC back on; Windows will attempt to reinstall the Bluetooth driver automatically.
      • If it does not, open Device Manager and select Action > Scan for hardware changes.
    5. Make sure Airplane mode is off
      • Press Windows + A to open Quick settings.
      • Ensure Airplane mode is turned off so Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi radios are enabled.
    6. Check for Windows updates
      • Select Start > Settings > Windows Update.
      • Select Check for updates and install all available updates, as some Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi drivers are delivered via Windows Update.

If Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi still appears missing (no toggle or icon), repeat the driver update and reinstall steps and ensure Airplane mode is off. If problems persist, contact the PC or adapter manufacturer for the latest Windows 11–compatible drivers.
