Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Kindly try the following workarounds according to Microsoft Agent | Moderator Prakhar_Khare, who answered a similar case: https://learn.microsoft.com/answers/questions/3193503/error-check-the-info-you-entered-it-doesnt-match-t?forum=windows-all&referrer=answers

"A few of the things you can check while entering the details:

    • Enter your name precisely as it appears on the card. Only include your middle initial if it appears on your card.
    • If this is a company card, enter the company name as both a first name and last name. For example, if the company name is "Contoso Shoes" split the company name into the first and last name fields.
    • If the company only has one name, for example, "Contoso," enter the company name in both the first and last name fields.
    • If you are asked to enter the address and it exceeds the Address 1 field, use the Address 2 field. Do not shorten or abbreviate your address.
    • The card number and type cannot be edited, so if you make a mistake, you'll need to add a new one with the correct information. Other credit card information can be edited, such as billing address and expiration date.

For more information, you can refer to the section Troubleshooting problems changing a payment method in the article Change the payment method or credit card linked to your Microsoft account. https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/add-a-new-bank-or-credit-card-to-your-microsoft-account-c39dbc30-bc83-30c8-5ea9-d0d94e6dcfe4

Please sign in to account.microsoft.com > Address book to update your Billing information.

However, if you are still facing issues while adding a new payment method, we have a dedicated accounts & billing support team that can assist you better with the issue. https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/ "

Thank you for your understanding! Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

Follow these steps and checks to resolve the issue when adding a new payment method for Microsoft 365:

    1. Add the payment method in the correct place
      • For a personal Microsoft account subscription:
        1. Go to the Payment options page: sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments.
        2. Select Add a new payment method.
        3. Enter all required details exactly as they appear on your card/bank statement (name, card number, expiration date, CVV, billing address, postal code).
      • For a Microsoft 365 business (admin) subscription:
        1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
        2. In Bills & payments > Payment methods, select Add a payment method.
        3. Choose the payment type and complete the Add payment method form.
    2. Check card and region requirements
      • The payment method must be issued in the same country/region as the tenant/account.
      • Not all payment methods are supported in all regions.
      • If the card is not accepted, try entering the postal code with and without spaces.
    3. Verify card details and bank status
      • Confirm:
        • Card number, expiration date, and name are correct.
        • Billing address (including city, state, and ZIP/postal code) matches the bank’s records.
      • Ensure the card has sufficient funds and is active (not blocked or expired).
      • Some banks require additional verification (e.g., SMS, app confirmation) due to fraud-prevention measures. Complete any verification prompts from the bank.
      • If the card keeps failing, contact the bank/issuer to check if they are blocking online or Microsoft transactions.
    4. Try a different supported payment method
      • If multiple cards fail, add another supported method (for example, a different credit/debit card, bank account, PayPal, or mobile phone) if available in the region.
      • Make sure any PayPal account used has a confirmed bank account or credit card as a funding source.
    5. If there is a past-due subscription
      • Sign in to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services.
      • Locate the subscription marked past due and select Pay now.
      • When prompted, update the existing payment method or add a new payment method, then complete the payment.
    6. When to contact Microsoft support
      • If:
        • The card meets all requirements,
        • The bank confirms there is no block,
        • The region matches,
        • And adding still fails,
      • Then contact Microsoft support from the account or admin portal so the billing team can review the account and payment attempts.
