To get chat support for Microsoft 365 (home subscription) and Excel/Windows:

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 support entry point for home users: use the Get Help app on Windows or your browser to reach support.
    2. In Windows, open Start and search for Get Help.
    3. In Get Help, briefly describe the issue (for example, “Hyperlinks stopped working in Microsoft 365 Excel”).
    4. Follow the prompts until the option to Contact support appears.
    5. Choose the Chat option when offered to start a conversation with a support agent.

Alternatively, from a browser you can:

    1. Use the online help/contact flow for Microsoft 365 for home:
      • First, try the online help and community if prompted.
      • Then proceed to the contact support path when available, and select Chat as the contact method.

If using Microsoft 365 for business and signed in as an admin:

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. Select Support > Help and support.
    3. Enter the problem description and then choose Contact support.
    4. Select Chat as the contact method if available.
