Microsoft are experiencing many problems on the server side at the moment, that error just indicates you need to wait and you should then be able to register your Office licence.

Try using a different browser or in-private browser tab to test if you can register your licence, if not, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, they may be able to manually register your Office licence for you, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

The message “Sorry, we can't set up your account right now. Please come back later to redeem your product key.” is a generic Office product key redemption error on Office.com/setup or Microsoft365.com/setup.

From the documented causes, check the following common issues:

    1. Billing or payment problem on the Microsoft account
      • If the detailed error text includes something like ConversionBlockedSubscriptionViolations, there is a billing issue on the Microsoft account.
      • Go to the Microsoft account Payment & billing page (as indicated in the documentation) and in Pay settings choose Change how you pay or Fix how you pay, then try redeeming the key again.
    2. Country/region mismatch
      • If the detailed error text includes ConversionBlockedCurrencyCountryMismatch or NoMatchingOrEligibleProductsFound, the product key’s country/region does not match the country/region on the Microsoft account or device.
      • Ensure the country/region is correctly set on the Microsoft account profile and in Windows Settings.
      • Office product keys must be redeemed in the same country/region where they were purchased. If the key was bought in a different region, it may need to be redeemed with an account/region that matches the purchase.
    3. Other product key issues
      • The general article for product key errors lists additional causes such as invalid keys, keys already used, subscription span limits, or language/region restrictions. Compare any error code shown on the page with the list in the article and follow the specific guidance there.

If the message continues to appear after checking billing and region settings and waiting a while, the guidance for some errors is to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance, especially if an error code like StackingTrialOnNonTrialNotSupported or similar is shown.
