Phone support is available, but how to reach it depends on the type of Microsoft 365 subscription.
For Microsoft 365 for home (Personal, Family, etc.):
- Go to the Microsoft support entry point: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/
- Make sure to sign in with the same Microsoft account that has the Microsoft 365 subscription.
- Type a short description such as “Install Microsoft 365” and select Get Help / Contact support.
- Choose the Microsoft 365 & Office product category, then a topic like Install or Manage my subscription.
- When prompted for support options, select Call me back (phone) or Chat with a support agent. If phone is available in the region and for the account type, a callback option will appear where a number can be entered so an agent calls back and walks through the installation.
Alternative ways to reach support:
- Use the Get Help app on Windows: open Start, search for “Get Help”, then type the issue and choose Contact support; follow the prompts and select Call me back if offered.
- For general Office/Microsoft 365 questions, the “Contact Microsoft Office Support” page also points to the Get Help and community options.
If there are accessibility needs (for example, needing extra assistance using the PC), the Microsoft Disability Answer Desk can provide technical assistance and is trained on assistive technologies. Contact details by region are available from the Disability Answer Desk page.
Once connected to a support agent by phone, the agent can walk step-by-step through signing in with the Microsoft account and downloading and installing Microsoft 365 on the computer.
