How to create a slideshow background for lockscreen - images aren't showing

I am trying to set up a Slideshow for my lockscreen. On Settings>Personalization>Lock screen I have selected 'Slideshow' in the drop down menu. I created an album in my Pictures folder with JPEG images, chose that album under 'Choose albums for your slideshow' but it says "you need more than one picture to show in your slideshow". When I've gone into my documents to view the folder "This PC>Pictures>Lockscreen" I can see the photos, when I view that same folder through the Personalization/Lock screen page it doesn't show any photos.

Please can someone suggest a solution

    Hi,

Have you checked if all the images in the Lockscreen folder are fully synced? Since your folders are backed up to OneDrive, you can verify this by looking for green check marks on the files. If everything is synced and the issue still continues, try the solution from an older post and see if it helps.

Windows can only use images that are actually available locally in the folder selected for the slideshow. In the screenshot, the Lockscreen folder is stored in OneDrive (cloud icon). If the pictures are only online, the lock screen cannot see them and shows the message that more pictures are needed.

To fix this and get the slideshow working:

    1. Open File Explorer and go to This PC > Pictures > Lockscreen.
    2. Make sure all images in this folder are stored locally:
      • If a file has a cloud icon, right‑click it and choose Always keep on this device so it is downloaded.
    3. Confirm there is more than one image file (for example, multiple .jpg files) in the folder.
    4. Open Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.
    5. Under Background, select Slideshow.
    6. Under Choose albums for your slideshow, remove any old entries if needed, then click Add a folder and select the Lockscreen folder again.

Once Windows sees multiple local images in that folder, the warning should disappear and the lock screen slideshow will start using those pictures.
