Purchased Xbox games, game progress, and balances cannot be moved or merged between different Microsoft/Xbox accounts.
For the closed account:
- If the account was closed less than 30 or 60 days ago (depending on what was shown when it was closed), it may still be in the grace period.
- To try to restore it, go to https://account.microsoft.com and sign in with the email for the closed account.
- Complete the security code verification. If still in the grace period, the account (including Xbox profile, gamertag, Gamerscore, and purchased content) will be restored to that same account.
Content will remain tied to the original Microsoft account; it cannot be transferred to the new account. Both accounts can be used side by side on the same Xbox or Windows device, but purchases stay with the account that bought them.
