How to solve website indexing issues on Bing?

My website was submitted to the Bing index. At the beginning of last month, it could at least be accessed when searching for my name, but starting from the end of last month, there are no longer any records of my website on Bing, especially when people want to find specific articles or search for my own name. Bing's crawler told me that many pages on my website have descriptions that are too short, but I see that those pages are /tags, /categories, and /friends. Honestly, how could the descriptions of these pages be long? Especially when my more than fifty high-quality articles cannot be found by search engines to help others, it really feels like all the effort was wasted. Now when I look at Bing Webmaster Tools, it still uses those non-existent snapshots to remind me that there are some problems.

This is my website (Link removed by Moderator. Do not recreate).

Hi 栋烨 梁,

I really wish I could assist you directly on this issue. However, the behavior you're experiencing is tied to back‑end systems and service functionality, and unfortunately, we don't have the authority or access required to investigate or make changes at that level. We also don't have the permission to escalate your request to the support team.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.

Given these limitations, the most appropriate avenue is to contact Webmaster Support - Bing Webmaster Tools.

Thank you for your understanding, and I hope the support team can resolve this for you soon.

Use Bing Webmaster Tools and basic SEO hygiene to restore and improve indexing.

    1. Fix crawl and indexability issues
    • Ensure there is a valid robots.txt that does not block important paths. Use it only to restrict genuinely unimportant or private URLs, as recommended: use a robots.txt file to inform Bingbot which pages can or cannot be accessed.
    • Avoid noindex or nofollow tags on pages that should appear in search. Tags such as nofollow or noindex prevent search engines from indexing webpages.
    • Make sure every important article is linked from at least one other discoverable and crawlable page (for example, from the home page, category pages, or an archive page). Linking all pages on a site to at least one other discoverable page is a signal that helps Bing determine site popularity.
    1. Improve site structure and content signals
    • Keep /tags, /categories, and similar low-content pages, but focus on making article pages strong:
      • Each article should have a unique, descriptive title.
      • Add a clear meta description summarizing the article. Bing uses descriptions as part of understanding and presenting pages.
    • Limit the number of thin or near-duplicate pages. Guidance suggests limiting the number of pages on a website and using redirects as appropriate so that authority is not diluted across many low-value URLs.
    1. Update sitemaps and notify Bing of changes
    • Maintain an up-to-date XML sitemap that lists all important article URLs.
    • Submit or resubmit the sitemap in Bing Webmaster Tools so Bingbot can discover and re-crawl URLs.
    • Use change-notification mechanisms to speed up re-indexing:
      • Use the IndexNow API or the Bing URL or Content Submission API so website changes are reflected instantly.
    1. Use Bing Webmaster Tools diagnostics
    • Run a Site Scan from Webmaster Tools (Webmaster Tools Site Scan) to detect common SEO issues and fix as many as possible.
    • Use URL Submission in Webmaster Tools to submit important article URLs directly. Up to 100 URLs per day can be submitted.
    • If Bing is still showing outdated snapshots or content that no longer exists, use the Content Removal Tool (available from Bing Webmaster Help & How-To) to request removal of outdated cache entries.
    1. Strengthen meta descriptions on key pages
    • For each important page, add a meaningful meta description. A meta description tells search engines what text to display with the page title and is important for making the site easy to find.
    • Ensure descriptions are present and reasonably informative on article pages, even if tag/category pages remain short.
    1. General indexing expectations
    • Bingbot crawls the web and builds an index based on relevance and quality. It prioritizes relevant known pages that are not yet indexed and pages that appear updated.
    • After fixes, allow some time for Bingbot to re-crawl and update the index; use URL submission and IndexNow/URL Submission APIs to accelerate this.
