copilot "tasks" has run out of tasks for the last week, and indicated that I should return on Friday for new tasks. Its Friday and have not been allocated any new tasks.

Its Tuesday morning, still no reset. Spent an hour with a msft agent trying to fix, he did user side attempts. nada. He opened a trouble ticket to escalate, still waiting to hear back.

In the GitHub Copilot app modernization flow, tasks are finite units of work within a scenario. When all available tasks are completed, the agent has no further work to perform until new tasks are defined and moved into the Available state.

If no new tasks appeared on the expected day, it means no additional tasks were created or made available in the scenario. To proceed, a maintainer or project owner must:

    1. Define new tasks for the scenario (for example, additional upgrades or refactors).
    2. Ensure dependencies for those tasks are satisfied so they move into Available status.
    3. Confirm the agent is pointed at the correct scenario/task set so it can pick up the newly available tasks.

Without new tasks entering the Available state, Copilot has nothing further to execute and will remain idle.
