Bonjour,

Merci.

The crash is an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in amfrtdrv64, which is part of the AMD graphics/driver stack used by the Unreal Engine game. The context shows similar issues can be triggered by memory/driver problems and fragmentation when games allocate or map large memory regions.

Given the steps already tried (reinstalling the game on Steam/Epic, Windows memory diagnostic, clearing cache, RAM not overclocked), focus on GPU driver and system stability:

    1. Cleanly reinstall AMD graphics drivers
      • Use AMD’s cleanup utility or uninstall the AMD driver from Apps → Installed apps, then reboot.
      • Install the latest WHQL (non‑beta) driver for the Radeon RX 9700 from AMD.
      • Disable any optional “tuning/overclock” features in the AMD software.
    2. Disable overlays and third‑party hooks
      • Turn off overlays from Steam, Discord, Radeon Software, screen recorders, or performance monitors that may inject into the game.
    3. Check for background tools that alter GPU/CPU behavior
      • Uninstall or disable “optimizer” tools, auto‑overclock utilities, or vendor control panels that can change clocks or voltages while gaming (similar tools are known to cause instability and BSODs in games in the provided examples).
    4. Verify game files and run as a clean test
      • In Steam/Epic, verify the integrity of game files.
      • Create a new local Windows user profile and try launching the game there to rule out profile‑specific corruption.
    5. Thermal and power checks
      • Ensure GPU temperatures and power limits are within normal range using a monitoring tool while running other 3D games.
      • If other demanding games also show instability, this points more strongly to a driver or hardware issue rather than Marvel Rivals itself.
    6. System updates
      • Make sure Windows 11 is fully updated (Settings → Windows Update) so that the DirectX and display stack components are current.

If the crash persists after a clean AMD driver install and with all overlays/optimizers disabled, collect the Windows Reliability Monitor entries and game crash logs and contact the game’s support, as the access violation is happening in the driver interface used by this specific Unreal Engine title.
