Need Assistance with POS UAT Link & Testing

Hi Team,

I am trying to add a new payment method in POS, but I am unable to find the UAT link for the POS application.

One of our customers wants to add a new payment method, and we would like to first configure and test it in the UAT environment. Currently, we do not have a physical POS device, but I have the POS application installed on my laptop.

Could anyone please help with:

  • The POS UAT login/link
  • How to connect the POS app to the UAT environment
  • Any prerequisites required for UAT testing without a physical POS device

Your support would be appreciated.

Thanks

Aditya Patel

    hi Aditya Patel,
You will likely need the UAT environment details from the POS vendor or your internal POS support/admin team, because the UAT URL, tenant configuration, and test credentials are usually organization-specific.

    A few things to check:

Confirm whether your POS application supports:

    standalone/UAT mode

      simulator mode

or soft POS testing without physical hardware

         Verify:

            UAT server URL/API endpoint

               test merchant/store credentials

                  payment gateway sandbox credentials

In many POS systems, the environment can be changed from:

                     Settings

                        Configuration

                           Environment/Profile settings

                              or config files

Without a physical POS device, testing may still be possible if:

    the application supports mock transactions,

    virtual terminals,

    or sandbox payment connectors.

    You may need:

    UAT login credentials,

    VPN access,

    whitelisted IP,

    • or a test merchant account before the POS app can connect successfully. If my answer is useful for you, please hit Accept the answer to support me. Thank you so much,

The context does not contain information about a specific POS UAT URL, how to point a particular POS client to a UAT environment, or environment-specific prerequisites. It only covers:

    • General POS device driver and event handling guidance.
    • POS for .NET application and device management concepts.
    • A Commerce peripheral/POS simulator for testing peripherals without deploying POS.

From the available information, the only directly relevant prerequisite for testing without a physical POS device is the use of a simulator:

    • The Commerce POS simulator can be used to test peripheral devices without deploying the full POS or having physical hardware. It uses the same peripheral business logic as Store Commerce and standalone hardware station and is intended for device manufacturers, ISVs, and retailers to validate device compatibility.
    • To use it, start the “Peripheral simulator” app on the test machine, choose “Use virtual peripherals,” and then select and configure the desired virtual devices (for example, payment terminal) on the left-hand tabs.
    • For a payment terminal, a payment connector must be present. For details on creating an end-to-end payment integration for a payment terminal, see the linked article in the context.

    The context does not provide:

    • Any POS UAT login or URL.
    • Steps to bind a POS client to a specific UAT environment/tenant.
    • Environment setup or authentication configuration for UAT.
