How can i change my account email

To change the email address used for the Microsoft account behind the subscription:

1. Go to the Manage how you sign in to Microsoft page: https://account.live.com/names/manage and sign in with the current account email.
2. Under Account info / Your info, select Add email.
3. Choose whether to:
   • Create a new Outlook.com email address, or
   • Add an existing email address from another provider (for example, gmail.com or yahoo.com).
4. Follow the prompts to verify the new email address.
5. After verification, set this new email as the main one by selecting Make primary next to it (if that option is shown).
6. (Optional) Once the new email is primary and working, select Remove next to the old email if it is no longer needed.

Notes:

• All email addresses and phone numbers on the account are aliases and share the same password and data (subscriptions, contacts, storage, etc.).
• VOIP numbers cannot be added as sign-in or verification methods.
• If the old email is from a Microsoft domain (for example, @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, @msn.com) and is removed as an alias, it is permanently deleted and cannot be reused on another Microsoft account.
• If the old email is from a non-Microsoft domain (for example, @gmail.com), removing it usually makes it available to be added as an alias on another Microsoft account.

If the account is also used with Microsoft Teams Free on iOS, after changing the sign-in email as above:

1. Uninstall the Teams app from the device.
2. Reinstall it from the iOS App Store.
3. Sign in with the new primary email address.
