Using a greenscreen in MS Teams

I have a meeting tomorrow in MS Teams. I want to use a greenscreen. All of the info I have seen refers to a greenscreen toggle and greenscreen settings. I do not see that anywhere. I can't believe that Microsoft would allow you to use backgrounds but not give you a way to make the video better with a greenscreen. So I'm assuming I am missing something.

    Hello

This is a feature you will only find in the commercial version of Teams, meaning, you are using a work/school account, not a personal Microsoft account.

If the Green Screen option does not appear, it is not exposed in the current Teams client/environment being used. In that case, only the standard background and video effects (such as background images, soft focus, and brightness adjustment) are available.

Why would MS do that? Give users a way to use backgrounds but not give them a way to use a greenscreen?

Green screen in Microsoft Teams must be explicitly enabled and is only available when certain conditions are met.

To use a green screen in Teams:

    1. Be in front of a solid-colored background (typically green) with good, even lighting.
    2. Join your meeting in Teams.
    3. On the pre-join screen, turn your camera on.
    4. Select Effects and avatars > More video effects > Green screen settings.
    5. In Devices > Video, turn the Green Screen toggle on.
    6. In the preview, check that Teams has detected the correct color. If not, select the box in the preview and then use the color dropper to pick the exact background color.
    7. Close settings and select Join now to enter the meeting with the green screen applied.

Once configured, the green screen setting is applied automatically to future meetings on that device. If using multiple devices, it must be enabled separately on each one.

If the Green Screen option does not appear, it is not exposed in the current Teams client/environment being used. In that case, only the standard background and video effects (such as background images, soft focus, and brightness adjustment) are available.

To later change or turn off green screen:

    1. Select Settings and more > Settings.
    2. Go to Devices.
    3. Under Video, turn the Green Screen toggle on or off, or reselect the background color from the preview box using the color dropper.

    Changes are applied automatically.
