Copilot Projects visible on web but missing in mobile app

I’m running into a strange issue with Copilot Projects. Preface to say, I do have Microsoft 365 Premium.

A few days ago, the windows app started showing “Project not found” errors. If I logged out and back in, they would show again. After that, the entire Projects section disappeared from the app.

After speaking with live support via chat, we were able to determine that when I sign into Copilot on the web, all my Projects are still there and work normally.

I’ve tried reinstalling the app, signing out/in, clearing data, and restarting my device, but nothing changes — the app still won’t show Projects at all.

Since support recommended posting here for help, I’m hoping someone can confirm whether this is a known issue or a rollout problem.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I'm experiencing the exact same problem so this user is not alone it seems to be a wider spread issue than you are aware of.

    Hi Yvonne Ridgely,

I understand why this feels confusing, especially since Projects worked briefly in the app and are still fully accessible on the web. You’ve clearly done all the reasonable checks, even contacted live support.

Before getting further, I need to note first that Microsoft Q&A is just a public user‑to‑user forum. Members here can share our own issues and solutions, but cannot confirm how availability is being handled internally. I imagine the Support agent directed you here in chance finding users with the same issue.

So far, though, there haven’t been other widely reported or officially documented cases of this exact behavior. I also couldn’t reproduce this on my own devices, so it can’t be confirmed yet as a known or announced problem. That said, the tests you’ve already done are important:

    • Projects working normally on the web confirms your data and subscription are intact
    • A clean reinstall and sign‑in didn’t help suggests this isn’t caused by app or local configuration.
    • The feature disappeared after briefly being available points away from something you can control on the device.

It's worth nothing that Copilot Projects appear to be an evolving feature. And when new features are still being refined and developed, they sometimes change availability, especially across web and app surfaces. But again, this is only a possibility from my own experience, not a confirmed explanation, so take it with a grain of salt.

For now, the web remains the most reliable way to use Projects. I recommend submitting feedback directly through the Copilot app (Settings > Feedback) so the team is aware of this. Let’s also keep an eye on the app over the next few days in case the feature returns, and see if any other users report the same issue under this thread!
