paying twice

I have 2 email accounts; I paid for subscription on one account of £8,.49

and then I received a message to say I needed to upgrade on my other account so

I signed up to pay another £8,49 (forgetting that I was already paying!).

However, your information states I can use Microsoft 365 on up to 5 devices (not accounts), so I don't understand why I need to pay twice. As a pensioner this is a bit much for me! Please advise and help.

You are correct, a Microsoft 365 subscription entitles you to install and use the Office apps on up to 5 devices at the same time that you log into with your Microsoft account.

Do you log into all those devices with the exact same Microsoft account you used to purchase the Microsoft 365 subscription?
