    Hi!

Which version of Windows are you using?

    • Press WINDOWS + R > Type "winver" (no quotes) > Take a screenshot of the window and send it to me.

To access Disk Management through "My Computer" ("This PC" from Windows 10 onwards), in Windows 10 you can right-click on This PC> Manage > Disk Management.

    • In Windows 11, you should right-click > Show more options > Manage > Disk Management.

You can also access Disk Management by pressing the shortcut Windows + X > Disk Management.

In recent versions of Windows 10/11 Pro, the classic “Manage” view from right‑clicking This PC / My Computer is still available, but Disk Management is usually opened in a different way.

To open Disk Management (where drive letters, names, and capacities are managed):

    1. Right‑click the Start button (bottom‑left of the screen).
    2. Select Disk Management.
      • Alternatively, press Windows + R, type diskmgmt.msc, and select OK.

Once Disk Management is open, drives and partitions with their capacities are shown. To change a drive letter or assign one:

    1. In Disk Management, find the volume you want to change.
    2. Right‑click the volume and select Change Drive Letter and Paths.
    3. Select Change (or Add if it has no letter), choose the letter, and select OK.
    4. Confirm with Yes.

If the option is missing or greyed out, the volume may be an EFI or Recovery partition, uninitialized, or you may not have sufficient permissions.

To rename a drive (set the name shown in File Explorer):

    1. Open File Explorer.
    2. Select This PC.
    3. Right‑click the drive and choose Rename, then type the new name and press Enter.

Microsoft 365 for business does not change how Disk Management is opened; it is part of Windows itself.
