It looks like the MS Store now has version 3.1:3:0. I've installed it on one device to test.

In the last 24 hours some but not all of our azure VPN client connections (P2S) have starting disconnecting exactly every hour like clockwork. The logs show no such host is known. They can then immediately reconnect without issue. Our gateway is in Sydney and Sydney clients seem unaffected but everyone else is having issues it seems. Some connection refresh or something seems to happen at the hour which is failing. Anyone seen this?
Update: Some Sydney connections are also affected so it seems that was just a coincidence.

Hello All,
Thank you for confirming the issue gets resolved after downgrading your VPN client to version 2.2159.179.0. This is the recommended workaround in this case.
Based on your comment above.
It's not really an answer though is it, its a temporary workaround. Having to get every user to manually install this version is a royal pain.
I understand this is not an ideal work-around. The product team is actively working on fixing this issue and I will share an update as soon as I get more information on the fix.
Update[06/30]
I got an update from the team, a stable version 3:1:3:0 has been released by the team and you should be able to update the app as shown below.
Please tag me in your response if you have any additional question. Thank you!
Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the Microsoft Store on a few computers. Three installed the old version 2.2159 but the others keep installing 3.1.2.0 MS Store. How long until the old version has propagated through to all the Stores.
I had a ticket open for a few days and the techs did not know about this. A bit disappointing as we've been troubleshooting for days now. :-(

My co-worker logged premium support ticket with Microsoft.
The main details of their answer are below.
There was a bug on the client 3:1:2 that caused rekeying to fail. The default VPN gateway rekey time was set to one hour, leading to disconnections for the users. The product group applied a backend fix that prevents this behavior, and no issues have been observed since the fix.
We are still on version 3.1.2.0 but no dropouts since "backend fix" applied.
