Anthropic Claude deployment fails in Azure AI Foundry due to missing ModelProviderData fields

I am unable to deploy Anthropic Claude models in Azure AI Foundry.

The deployment fails with this error:

"Failed to create deployment. ModelProviderData is required for Anthropic model deployments but was not provided. Please provide all required fields: industry, organizationName, and countryCode."

I selected the Industry field during the Claude deployment flow, but Azure AI Foundry does not show any fields for organizationName or countryCode.

My subscription is Pay-As-You-Go with an active payment method. I have tried deployment in Sweden Central and East US2. Other models deploy successfully, but Anthropic Claude models fail with this error.

Please check and fix the Anthropic Claude provider onboarding/metadata for my subscription, or confirm if my subscription is not eligible for Claude model deployment.

Nitish hi & thanks for join me here at Q&A portal,

this does not look like an azure advisor issue. it looks like an azure ai foundry provider onboarding issue for anthropic models. Actually error says that modelproviderdata is missing required anthropic metadata industry, organizationname and countrycode. if the portal only shows the industry field and does not expose organizationname or countrycode, then the deployment flow is not collecting all required provider data.

claude models in microsoft foundry require a paid azure subscription with a billing account in a supported country or region. microsoft lists unsupported subscription types, so eligibility should be checked against the official claude deployment requirements.

i would suggest opening a support request under azure ai foundry or foundry models, not azure advisor. Include the subscription id, region, model name, deployment time, correlation id if available, and the exact error. ask microsoft to confirm whether the subscription is eligible for anthropic deployment and whether the missing organizationname or countrycode metadata can be repaired or re-triggered for provider onboarding.

as a workaround, try deploying from a different browser and from the latest azure ai foundry portal experience, but if those fields are genuinely not presented, this is unlikely to be fixed client-side. other users have reported the same modelproviderdata (anthropic) onboarding failure pattern

    rgds,

    Alex
