Hi, I tried joining a Microsoft Teams meeting today, and my webcam wouldn't turn on. I opened the native Windows Camera app to check, and I got a black screen with the message: "We can't find your camera. Check to make sure it's connected and installed properly." This is an integrated laptop camera, so I can't exactly unplug it.

Hi Amira Hamid,
The error you are seeing means Windows cannot detect the camera hardware on the system bus, a state typically associated with error code 0xA00F4244. Because this is an integrated laptop webcam, this total disappearance is almost always caused by a physical privacy slider blocking the lens or an electronic kill switch on your keyboard. Look closely at your function keys for a camera icon with a slash through it and press it, sometimes while holding the Fn key, to restore power to the webcam module.
If that does not work, right-click the Start menu, open Device Manager, and look under the Cameras or Imaging devices section. If the camera is listed with a down arrow, right-click and select Enable device. If it shows an error or a yellow exclamation mark, right-click it, select Uninstall device, and then restart your laptop. During the reboot, Windows will automatically scan the hardware bus and reload the clean, native driver to restore your connection for Teams.
