Dear Microsoft Partners,

I was wondering if Partners Launch Benefits subscription would allow to install Office 365 Desktop apps especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. I am unable to find the download urls for Word, Excel, Power Point Desktop applications. I have Partners Launch Benefits but I couldn't get a clear answer from Microsoft Support if I was licensed to install and use these desktop applications.

Yep - AFAIK, your Microsoft Partner Launch Benefits subscription should allow you to download, install, and use the full desktop versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The package should include 5 user seats of Microsoft 365 Business Premium. This tier provides full offline desktop application access, not just the limited free web browser apps.

Because it is a partner subscription, you will not find public download links. You need to first activate the license tokens in your business portal to download the software.

Log in to your Microsoft Partner Center account. Navigate to the Benefits workspace, select Cloud Product Benefits, find your Microsoft 365 Business Premium seats, and follow the prompts to activate the subscription on your tenant account.
Go directly to the Microsoft 365 Login Page and sign in using your designated partner organization/tenant administrator account credentials.
Once on your account dashboard, click the Install Apps button located in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Select Microsoft 365 Apps from the dropdown menu. This action triggers a direct download of the unified setup file to your local computer. Run the file to install the complete software suite automatically.

Hi Marcin,

Thanks for your prompt message. I am not sure if it is a fault or not, but when I go to my partner center, I can see I have Azure credits benefits, Cloud services benefits, Developer tools benefits already redeemed, but nothing listed in Software benefits tab. I expect to see Office 365, word, Excel etc. listed there, am I wrong?

Additionally, when I click on Install Apps button on the top right corner of Apps page of Microsoft 365 Admin, I can only see MS Project, Visio, Skype for Business install buttons, no Word, no Excel or no other Office 365 apps.

I appreciate your help on solving this mystery as Partner and Microsoft 365 help were inconclusive.

AFAIK, the 5 seats of Microsoft 365 Business Premium would be under the Cloud Services Benefits tab, not the Software Benefits tab. The "Software Benefits" tab is intended for legacy on-premise operating systems and server software (like Windows Server or SQL Server product keys).

Your Admin Center might be not displaying Word and Excel if Microsoft 365 Business Premium product license token has not been assigned to your specific user profile yet.

Try linking the licenses to your Microsoft 365 tenant using the Microsoft Partner Center (from Benefits > Cloud services benefits , locate Microsoft 365 Business Premium and check if you have the Redeem option.

Then, in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, check if you can assign Microsoft 365 Business Premium license to your user account
