    Hello Charles Cen,

The behavior you're seeing is most likely tied to your plan rather than a bug. Copilot Tasks (and Agents/Actions more broadly) are part of the Microsoft 365 Premium (formerly Copilot Pro / business Copilot) feature set, not Microsoft 365 Personal. Personal does include AI credits for Copilot chat, Designer, and the in-app assistance inside Word/Excel/etc., but Tasks itself is gated to Premium per the official plan comparison — so what you're hitting is essentially the free-tier cap on Tasks being applied to your account, which is why it doesn't reset the way you'd expect on a paid sub.

A couple of things worth doing from here:

    • Double-check your active plan at account.microsoft.com > Services & subscriptions to confirm whether it's Personal or Premium.
    • If you believe Tasks should be included in your current subscription, the cleanest path is contact Microsoft Support at https://support.microsoft.com/contactus and have a billing/support agent look at your account directly.

(Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. If you'd like full Tasks access, upgrading to Microsoft 365 Premium is the supported route. Hope that clears up the limit behavior.

Tasks usage on Copilot is controlled by feature limits and AI credits that depend on the Microsoft 365 plan.

For Microsoft 365 Personal, Tasks (Agents/Actions) are not currently included. The documented limits show:

    • Microsoft 365 Personal:
      • Agents: not available
      • Actions: not available
    • Microsoft 365 Premium:
      • Agents: 25 tasks per month shared among all agents
      • Actions: 10 tasks per month

Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps and other AI features (like chat, Designer, image generation) are available with monthly AI credits on Personal and Family plans, but the Tasks feature itself is only listed with limits for Microsoft 365 Premium.

If a weekly or monthly Tasks limit is reached, usage will not resume until the service resets the quota for that period. The reset timing and behavior are controlled by Microsoft and can vary by feature and system conditions. If the limit appears “stuck” and never refreshes, or if Tasks is behaving inconsistently with the documented limits for the subscription, the issue needs to be checked on Microsoft’s side.

    Recommended steps:

    1. Confirm the exact subscription:
      • Sign in to the Microsoft account and check Services & subscriptions to verify whether the account is on Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, or Premium, and to see AI credits and feature limits.
    2. Compare behavior with documented limits:
      • If using Microsoft 365 Personal, expect AI credits for Copilot in apps, but not the full Tasks/Agents/Actions limits that Premium has.
    3. If the account should have higher limits (for example, upgraded to Microsoft 365 Premium) or the quota never resets:
      • Contact Microsoft Support so they can review the account and backend configuration and correct any quota or licensing issues.
