    Hi,

I am afraid this is an ongoing problem and you cannot do much in this case.

    Via HornBlower's post here:

This is a know issue. Microsoft is aware of the problem but there is currently no fix. Unless you are in an IT Managed Environment there is nothing you can do to stop them.

    Possible Workarounds (IT Managed Environment)

If your organization has a Microsoft Defender for Office 365 subscription, there are steps you can take to mitigate the impact:

If you are in an IT Managed environment there are Mail Flow Rules that your IT Admin can implement that will block all external Calendar invites (and allow for specific exceptions):

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Otherwise, if your problem is resolved, please take a moment to rate the answer. Wishing you good luck!

To reduce or stop spam calendar invites in Outlook (web or new Outlook for Windows), adjust junk and calendar processing settings so spam messages are filtered as mail instead of silently creating calendar items.

    1. Turn off automatic event creation from email (Outlook on the web)
      1. Select the Settings gear (top right).
      2. Select View all Outlook settings.
      3. Go to Calendar > Events and invitations.
      4. Under Events from email, either:
        • Select Don't add events to my calendar from email, or
        • Leave Automatically add events to my calendar from email on but uncheck event types that are commonly abused (for example, travel or package events if those are being spoofed).
      5. Optionally select Mark events as private so only I can see them if unwanted items still appear but must be kept.
      6. Select Save.
    2. Use Junk Email filtering so spam invites go to Junk instead of your calendar
      1. In Outlook on the web, select Settings.
      2. Select Mail > Junk email.
      3. Under Blocked senders and domains, select Add blocked sender and add the email addresses or domains that send spam invites. Messages from these senders will go directly to Junk Email, which prevents most calendar spam from being created.
      4. Under Safe senders and domains, make sure only trusted senders or domains are listed so that spam sources are not treated as safe.
      5. Select Save.
    3. Use the Junk Email Filter and avoid confirming spam
      • Ensure the built‑in Junk E‑mail Filter is enabled in Outlook so spam messages (including invite emails) are automatically moved to Junk E‑mail.
      • Do not respond to suspicious meeting requests or read‑receipt prompts; responding can confirm that the address is valid and increase spam volume.

These steps shift spam invites into Junk mail and stop many of them from auto‑appearing on the calendar.
