been trying for MONTHS to figure this out.. cant connect Iphone to PC (Windows 11) and I just cant find a SOILD answer, this is my LAST resort. I have ZERO issue when connecting to my laptop (also using windows 11) I am certian i will NEVER find a fix..

Remember you have to cleanly uninstall, delete and remove everything related to iTunes and Apple connection first. Then after downloading and installing iTunes from Apple store (the x64 version), that you use Update Driver and address the location. Also, another way I can suggest is to go directly to that
Driversfolder, then double-click the.inffile there to install it.In addition, from my findings, some users suggested that you directly open iTunes and toggle the settings there. Because iOS (or Apple in general) is not natively supported on Windows system, it needs iTunes for the connection, so there might be a setting that's turned off on your desktop but not on your laptop. It's worth checking out just in case.

Open File Explorer and navigate through that path and you will get to the
Driversfolder. On the View option on top of the File Explorer, check File name extensions. Now in thatDriversfolder, you find and double-click the.inffileFor iTunes, just open the app and check if you can see your phone there. Go to Accounts, and click Authorize this computer.
If that also doesn't help, next please open Microsoft Store. Search for an app called Apple Devices and download it, then restart your PC and check if your phone is visible now. If not or it's already downloaded to your PC, open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > uninstall the Apple Devices application you previously downloaded.
Plug in your phone, open Device Manager and uninstall any Apple-related drivers. Like not just in Portable devices, expand the Universal Serial Bus Devices too, check anything called Apple Mobile Device or similar and uninstall it. Eject your phone, then restart both your iPhone and your PC. After that open iTunes and connect your phone.

That's the path you go to get to the
Driversfolders. So basically, the files are in your PC, right? What you downloaded is placed somewhere, inside folders and folders. The path guide you to know where to go. The long string of all the places you have to go through to get to a specific destination is called "path" (or address) in Windows.For example, if you get the path
D:\Downloads\My folder\My name, which means you openD:\> OpenDownloadsfolder > OpenMy folder> OpenMy namefolder. Another way is to Copy that path and Paste it directly to File Explorer address bar. Does that make sense? -

- Visit Contact Us - Microsoft Support > Sign in
- Type in your problem > click "Get Help" to make request

- Select category again > click Next and you will then be added to a chat queue
Note: The support contact team only works at certain times, so if the last window shows that it's unavailable, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. This way, they can call you and help you.
You also still have the Windows 11 reinstallation suggestion from my first answer. That won't delete any of your apps and files, only refresh and attempt to fix corruption, if any.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with connecting your iPhone to PC, even though it works fine on laptop. Before getting further, let's first check out the official guide from Apple: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
The error
device USB\VID_05AC&PID_12A8&MI_00 needs to be further installedseems to be a driver installation failure related to your iPhone's USB connection to your Windows 11 PC. I'd like to ask if your PC has iTunes installed? If not, let's download it from the Microsoft Store and test.However, if it's already installed, the issue might be deeper. Here's what you should do next:
1 - Manually download Apple iTunes (not from Microsoft Store)
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Uninstall iTunes
- Press Win + R > type
control> Enter to open Control Panel:- Click Programs and Features
- Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support (if found)
- Click Programs and Features
- Temporarily disable antivirus software and turn off Windows Defender
Disclaimer: Temporarily turn off real-time Microsoft Defender antivirus protection in Windows Security. However, keep in mind that if you do so, your device may be vulnerable to threats. So please turn it on immediately once the issue is fixed.
- Download and install iTunes - Apple > Restart your PC

- In Device Manager Properties (your 2nd picture) > click Update Driver
- Choose Browse my computer for drivers > Click Let me pick from a list
- Navigate to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers- If you don't find it, also check in
Program Files (x64)or(x86)paths
- If you don't find it, also check in
- Select
Driversfolder (if you can't, locateusbmdm.infand choose it) > Confirm the update - When it's finished, you should see the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver appears
3 - If the problem persists, you may need to try Windows 11 reinstallation:
- On your PC, go to Windows Settings > System > Recovery
- Click Reinstall now to Fix problems using Windows Update
If it also fails, an in-place upgrade may be the most reliable solution. Navigate to the bottom of the page and expand In-place Upgrade to Reinstall Windows with the installation media - Microsoft Support
