Microsoft has removed the ability to delete a single entry from your Autocomplete/Suggested People List (the drop down of suggested email addresses you see when you start typing in the "To:" field).

Previously there was an "X" to the right of an Autocomplete entry that would remove it from the list. Now the only method to get rid of a incorrect or out of date Autocomplete entry is to erase the whole list.

This workaround will show you how to convert the items in your Autocomplete List to Contacts so you will still have access to the email addresses from the Autocomplete List if you need to erase it.

In the current Outlook experience, removing individual suggested recipients using the X icon in the Auto-Complete list has been removed in recent builds. This is why the X no longer appears when typing in the To field and hovering over a suggestion.

At this time, there is no supported way in the latest Outlook builds to delete a single suggested address from the list while composing a message. The only supported controls are the broader Auto-Complete and suggested contacts controls (such as turning Auto-Complete on/off or resetting the list entirely) described in the documentation, but per the moderator guidance this specific per-entry removal feature is no longer available.
