To sign in to a Google (Gmail/Google Workspace) work account in Outlook for iOS when the Google OAuth option is not obvious, use the account-add flow that exposes the Google sign-in screen:
- Open Outlook for iOS and go to the main inbox view.
- Tap the Account icon in the upper-left corner (three horizontal lines or the house icon).
- At the bottom of the left pane, tap the Settings gear icon.
- Tap Add Account > Add an Email account.
- Enter the full work Gmail address and continue.
- If Outlook does not automatically recognize it as a Google account, look for a Not ______? link at the bottom center or top right of the setup screen.
- Tap that link and then tap the Google icon.
- Outlook will now open the Google OAuth sign-in page where the work Gmail credentials and any required 2‑step verification code can be entered.
If 2‑step verification is enabled on the Google account, Outlook for iOS supports it; after selecting the Google option, the Google 2‑step verification flow will appear so the code can be entered.
