Convert PDF for editing

To convert a text-only PDF to Word so it can be edited, use Word’s built-in PDF conversion:

1. Open Word (desktop app).
2. Select File > Open.
3. Browse to and select the PDF file, then choose Open.
4. When prompted that Word will make a copy and convert the PDF to an editable Word document, select OK.
5. Edit the document as needed.
6. To keep it as a Word file, select File > Save As and choose Word Document (*.docx). To save back to PDF, select Export > Create PDF/XPS Document > Create PDF/XPS and then Publish.

Note: Conversion works best for PDFs that are mostly text. Layout (page breaks, line breaks, some formatting) may differ from the original PDF.
