Saving files from office desktop apps directly to SharePoint site libraries

Hi Everyone,

When I am working on a document in Word desktop app and click save as and choose my SharePoint sites, I don't see the sites that has been created recently or the ones that I followed recently.

I figured out that I need to wait a day or so in order to see them all but I am not sure of the exact amount of time I have to wait.

Is there any way to see those sites in the 'sites' option under 'save as' immediately on creating or following them?

Best regards,

Ahmed Hablas

It's by default that you need to wait for a while to see created and following sites in the "sites" section under "save as".

    There are two workarounds.

1.Click browser, enter the site collection URL.

2.In the document library of SharePoint site collection, sync it with OneDrive. Then choose OneDrive location under "save as".
