Can the OS have bad blocks even if physical drive is indicated as healthy

We have a Dell server with four SAS disks combined to one virtual disk. The four physical disks are not showing any errors on Dell iDRAC log. But the virtual disk log in iDRAC is showing bad blocks. The event viewer and chkdsk within the OS (Datacentre 2016) indicate bad blocks for the virtual drive.

Dell is saying their logs are indicating no physical issues and it must be a fault with the OS. Is this right?

Thanks

Yes, it is possible. Something here could help.
