While it makes no sense from UX point of view, MG seems to mean "Meeting Guest" (and it's one of the real participants, not a suspicious 'extra participant').

A staff member has a Teams call with a client. On the client's end, it looks like another participant is in the call - appearing as initials either UU or MG. However, there are no extra participants in the meeting.

2023-05-02T14:59:10.4+00:00 Hi @JimmyYang-MSFT The participant is not in our Teams org. They joined via a Teams meeting link as well as a Meet Now - put in as a participant. The calls have been regarding sensitive student issues, so they have now chosen a different method of communication because the parent was so nervous about it.

Kelvin Lush 0 Reputation points2023-06-14T15:24:55.8133333+00:00 I too am experiencing this. I set up a meeting from my office account and invited myself through an external email address. Office connection only shows the two attendees but external includes an "MG" connection with no details.
