Hello,

I have build my first builded PC, full AMD ASUS MoBo. My country is Czech republic.
When I wanted to install Windows 11 Home, I have discovered that I could only install Windows 11 Home N. That was successfull, but on Windows 11 Home, there was error message with "Your computer HW is not compatible with the Windows 11 Home".
So, I have Windows 11 Home N successfully installed, and I have bought a licence to a classic Windows 11 Home from Czech reseller (Alza) from where I bought every part for my PC. I thought that Win 11 Home and Win 11 Home N licences are the same.
But when I tried to activate my Windows OS, I got a error message "0xc004f050". Is problem on side of wrong licence (broken, not working), or is problem in that licences for this two editions cannot be used for one and another? How can I resolve this? I have paid for licence that is not working.
(Also, on Alza, after you claim your licence you cannot simply use refund - and I have already claimed that licence, otherwise I would not be able to know, that it is not working on my PC - and also, I have contacted their support and I am expecting their responce).

Info of my system: installed OS: Windows 11 Home N, 22H2, 64bit.
Info of my bought licence from SW "ShowKeyPlus": Win 10 RTM Core Retail, EULA Retail.

Thanks you really much!
Best regards,

Jiří Král.

The Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Home N are different versions and you cannot activate that with the other licence key .

The primary difference between the two editions is the absence of Windows Media Player and other media-related technologies in the N edition. Windows 11 Home includes Windows Media Player and supports various media formats out of the box, while Windows 11 Home N does not include these features.

In Windows 11 Home, you can play multimedia files without any additional setup or codec installations. However, in Windows 11 Home N, you might need to install third-party media players or codecs to play certain media formats, as the built-in media support is limited.

Windows 11 Home N is primarily targeted at the European market to comply with antitrust regulations. It may not be available in other regions.

An incorrect license key is most likely to cause the Windows 11 activation error 0xc004f050
