2023-08-02T18:05:37.55+00:00

How can I fix error code 80180014 when I try to connect my school account? Whenever I sign in, I receive this error message, and I'm unable to connect. I've been struggling with it for a while now. Can someone guide me through how to fix this? Please provide any steps or solutions that have worked for others in a similar scenario. Thank you.

This error code is caused by the Device Enrollment restriction policy in place. You need to check and make sure Personally owned devices are allowed for Windows (MDM) in the Device Enrollment restriction policy.

Login on Microsoft Intune admin Center.

Click on Devices -> Enroll Devices -> Enrollment restrictions.

Edit the Policy which is applied to the users. If there is only one default policy, edit that one.

    Edit Platform settings.

Check to confirm if Windows (MDM) Platform is allowed or blocked.

If Windows (MDM) Platform is set to Block in the personally owned column then select Allow and then click on Review + Save.

Try to join the machine to Azure Active directory via any method and this time there should not be any issues.

If this IS, in fact, a SCHOOL account, you likely have no access to any tools to fix it with, and need to go see the school IT folks. If you have a business account, you again likely have no access to appropriate tools and should consult the business IT folks. If you've subscribed to a Microsoft M365 Business SKU, you should have access to Microsoft Business support who can help. If you have a Personal or Family M365 account, this issue does not apply.
