Are you able to recall a message that was sent to a email distro? The distro is within my companies server.

    Are you able to recall a message that was sent to an email distro? The distro is within my companies server.

    Yes, it can work. It's handled similar as recalling a message sent to multiple users individually.

    Below is the test result in my Exchange environment:

    1. DL1 is a distribution list created within the Exchange server. It has two members, User1 and User2.
    2. I sent a test mail to DL1 and then recalled it. After user1 and user2 checked their inbox in Outlook, the test message was recalled successfully:
      1

    With the above being said, since there are some conditions which must be met for the recall to succeed, in most occasions, it might be better to just send a short but sincere apology message instead.
