Hello

I just got Galaxy Z Fold 5. It is connected to my Windows 11 laptop via Phone Link with no problems. The problem is whenever the screen on the laptop gets locked and I unlock it, Windows is trying to establish Bluetooth connection with the phone. I get the message on the phone and I click on pair but no success. I tried to remove the device but with no success - just nothing happens - after a few seconds it shows "not connected". I tried to remove the laptop from the list on the phone but there is no such option there. I had Fold 4 and it was in the list of the devices on the laptop but Windows wasn't making any attempts to connect. I checked the drivers and it says all are up to date - both the phone and the laptop.

How can I remove the phone from the list or at least to stop it from pairing?

Thank you for your help!

    Hello there,

This might be related to a setting in Windows that's triggering this behaviour. Here's what you can do to address this issue:

    Bluetooth Settings:

Open the Bluetooth settings on your Windows 11 laptop.

Check if the "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC" option is enabled. If it's enabled, Windows might be attempting to reconnect to your phone whenever the laptop screen is unlocked.

    Focus Assist (Quiet Hours):

Windows 11 has a "Focus Assist" feature that can suppress notifications and alerts during certain times. Make sure that Focus Assist (Quiet Hours) is not inadvertently causing this behaviour.

    Bluetooth Auto-Connect Settings:

On your Windows 11 laptop, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.

Click on the device (your Galaxy Z Fold 5) that's causing the issue.

Check for options related to automatic connection or reconnection. If there's an option like "Always connect" or "Reconnect automatically," try disabling it.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
