I lost my GMAIL account setup in Outlook 365. It is set for IMAP in GMAIL. I have 2-factor set up. I did the app password...everything you are supposed to do. When I set up the account, it goes to open the browser (Chrome) to select the gmail account and then I allow permissions. Then instead of setting up, it sends me back to set-up. Over and over agin...HELP!

    Hi @Charlene Zeiberg

I agree with Vahid Ghafarpour, you can try the reauthorization he mentioned and check if that helps.

As far as I know, third-party email providers like Gmail, Yahoo, and iCloud require you to change certain settings on their website before you can add these accounts to Outlook. Please try logging into Gmail to check if POP and IMAP access are enabled.

Besides, here are the detailed steps to add Gmail, you can refer to: How to add Gmail account to Outlook using Imap? (extendoffice.com).

Revoke App Access and Reauthorize could help you:

Go to your Google Account settings (https://myaccount.google.com/). In the "Security" section, find the "Third-party apps with account access" option.

Revoke access for Microsoft Outlook or any related apps; next, try setting up the account again and follow the authorization process.
