Photo not updating in Azure AD user

I cannot update the azure AD user photo. Everytime I attempt to update the photo (making sure it fits within the 100KB size limit) it reverts back to the original image. I have tried removing the images and then updating the new but still reverts back to the original.

    I have seen sometimes in my own tenant that this change can take 2-3 days to reflect.

    Here are some steps to try:

    1. Login to Azure Portal using a user whose picture needs to be changed
    2. Switch the directory of the user to the default directory through Azure Portal
    3. Go to Azure Active Directory, All Users
    4. Select the user, in the profile change the photo

    I tested in my tenant and it worked.

    It can help to try in a brand new browser with a cleared cache and incognito window. Occasionally I have had to do this.
